At Mighty Kids Therapy, we require:

• 1 full business day’s notice to cancel or change a single appointment

• 1 week’s notice to change ongoing scheduled appointment times (e.g. block of therapy)

Failure to provide notice will result in a 100% cancellation fee, including the 15 minutes of non face-to-face time for NDIS appointments. Fees are payable via NDIS funding (if applicable).

At Mighty Kids Therapy, we often need to complete tasks for clients outside of face-to-face therapy sessions.

For NDIS clients, we bill 15 minutes of non-face-to-face time per appointment (30 minutes for initial appointments). This time is used by therapists to complete treatment notes, set up / pack up sessions, and send brief client-related emails (if required). For private clients, this time is included in the cost of your appointment.

For all clients, any extended tasks will be billed. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Reports / letters

• Scoring standardised assessments

• Detailed home exercise programs

• Extended emails

• Phone calls

When completing your termly appointment preferences, you will be prompted to choose which fortnight (FN) you would prefer your child’s appointments to fall on.

• FN 1 - Week 1, Week 3, Week 5, Week 7, Week 9 of term

• FN 2 - Week 2, Week 4, Week 6, Week 8, Week 10 of term

• If you don’t have a preference, you can let us know in the form

All of our regular therapy sessions are conducted at the clinic. We are unable to provide ongoing home, daycare or school sessions.

In select circumstances, we may be able to organise once-off sessions at external locations (e.g. home visit to conduct an assistive technology trial). However, this depends on the proximity of the location from the clinic, and therapist availability. Travel charges apply.

We are currently not offering Hydrotherapy.

Yes, a ‘phone call appointment’ is for any consultations provided over the phone / video call.

This is charged at the same rate as a regular appointment.

We follow the QLD state school term for all termly appointments.
